Leadership Agility: Levels of Mastery for Leading in the Agile Enterprise

First in the “Transformation and the Agile Enterprise” Teleseminar Series

Date/Time: Tuesday October, 5, 2010 –  Noon ET / 9 am PT (get the call recording)

Description: As business environments become more complex and interconnected, the mandate for agile organizations and agile leaders could not be clearer.  Yet, research indicates only 10% of today’s managers have the level of leadership agility needed to succeed in this environment over the long-term.

Bill Joiner’s award-winning book, Leadership Agility, and the rich, ground breaking research behind it shows what leaders must do differently in this turbulent era. Meet Bill in this dynamic exploration of what leadership agility looks like in practice.  You’ll learn ways to assess a leader’s level of agility in three key “action arenas:” leading change, improving teamwork, and pivotal conversations. You will also learn what it takes to assess a leaders’ level of agility, and ways to help managers become more agile and develop a more agile leadership culture in your organization.

Bill Joiner, co-author of Leadership Agility, is a seasoned leadership and organization development consultant with over 30 years of experience completing successful projects with companies based in the US, Canada, and Europe.  He is also President of ChangeWise, a firm that helps clients develop organizational, team, and leadership agility.  As co-designer of the Leadership Agility 360, ChangeWise also trains and certifies coaches in its use.  Bill has served for 9 years as an adjunct faculty member in Leadership for Change, at Boston College.  He earned his BA and MBA at Southern Methodist University and his Doctorate in Organization Development at Harvard University.

As one participant in the Workshop commented:

“Many of my clients are at the Expert level of leadership agility, and just don’t know what to do-or how to ‘be’-at the Achiever or Catalyst levels.  At the same time, their organizations are clamoring for them to frame situations from a much broader perspective and a higher level of thinking.  This tool helps people bridge the gap from what they know to what they don’t know they don’t know.  It answers the question: ‘What should I be doing differently here in order to get different results?’  The workshop was highly engaging and stimulating, and this will be a valuable tool to have in my tool box.”
